LUV Systems Expands to Asia with First Hospital ICU Installation

Meera Zen Hospital installs first halō air disinfection system in Indian ICU.

MUMBAI, INDIA (March 15, 2026) - LUV Systems, Inc. today announced the successful deployment of its halō indoor air disinfection system in India, marking the company’s first installation in the region and a significant milestone in its global expansion strategy.

The system was showcased during the inauguration of Meera Zen Hospital, a state-of-the-art healthcare facility in Mumbai. The halō air disinfection system has been installed in the hospital’s 17-bed Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU), where it is designed to reduce the risk of airborne respiratory cross-infection for both patients and healthcare professionals in a critical care environment.

This deployment represents an important validation of LUV Systems’ technology in high-acuity healthcare settings and demonstrates growing international demand for advanced indoor air quality solutions.

LUV Systems’ product strategy is built on three core value drivers:

  • Proven Effectiveness against a broad range of airborne pathogens and allergens;
  • Certified Safety for use in occupied environments, including around people and pets; and
  • Affordability to enable scalable adoption across consumer and commercial markets.

The company’s proprietary low-wavelength ultraviolet (UVC) platform is designed to enable continuous air disinfection in occupied spaces. To support performance and scalability, LUV Systems has developed a proprietary dosing algorithm that correlates validated surface inactivation data with effective indoor air disinfection rates, enabling predictable and measurable outcomes.

Ultraviolet disinfection has been used for more than a century in applications such as healthcare, laboratories, and water treatment, underscoring its established efficacy and long-term market relevance. LUV Systems builds on this foundation with next-generation solutions engineered for real-world deployment in occupied environments.

Early feedback from hospital staff and patients has been highly positive, with users noting the system’s effectiveness, unobtrusive operation, and integration into modern clinical environments.

The India deployment reflects LUV Systems’ broader strategy to expand its global footprint in healthcare and other high-demand sectors, including commercial buildings, transportation, and public infrastructure. The company continues to pursue strategic partnerships and market entry opportunities to accelerate adoption of its low-UVC disinfection technology platform worldwide.
